I’ll admit it: One of the hardest parts about moving back from Toronto a few years ago was the fact that I was moving away from a lot of my closest friends. While I’ve definitely come to make some really awesome friends back home in Belleville, a lot of the people I’ve been close with since HIGH SCHOOL live in Toronto these days.
Or Ottawa. But that person is moving to Toronto anyway and besides, it’s still not Belleville no matter how you slice it.
Given that they all live in a thriving metropolis, are clustered in one place and don’t drive, I’m often the one that makes trips to visit the clan. I like visiting (and the fact that it’s something I’m close enough to be able to do in the first place), but with life being as busy as it usually is, it’s not always easy to find a spare weekend to make the trip.
And by “not always easy” I actually mean it’s pretty freaking hard.
Needless to say, it’s not often that the whole crew is able to get together (and with one member of the group currently residing on the other side of the planet, it probably won’t be possible for quite some time). We had to start planning back in March to make last Sunday’s antics possible.
But we pulled it off, and the result was a really fun, really wonderful day together.
Oh, and for those of your wondering what the deal is with the title of the video, just trust me when I say that you’d probably be happier not knowing what “Curry n’ Cookies” is all about.
