It was like Christmas at work this week.
Not that I fancy myself to be a graphic designer or anything but when you work on a small team you often end up being a jack-of-all-trades. As such, I wound up doing the redesign of our new staff business/contact cards for the office. The change was overdue – since our last round of cards were printed: we’ve added a new team member, my title has been updated, and, uh… Our logo changed.
All good reasons to get new contact cards.
Again: Not a graphic designer. Still, I was pretty happy with the end results. I don’t know what it is about business cards but I just love how legit they make me feel. Plus, I’m just pretty proud of the fact that I made them.
I’m also pretty happy with my updated title. It’s not a huge change but my boss and I made the decision to change my title to Director of Digital Media and Communications instead of Social Media in order to better reflect what I do in my role. For the last three years I’ve been in charge of all things digital at Quinte Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and definitely found that the “social” part of the title really didn’t do the role justice.
So, yes – new cards and a new title. Needless to say I’m feeling pretty fancy at work these days! I’m looking forward to getting to hand these babies out!
