Don’t Call it a Comeback

I like to leave nice messages for people in the sand.

I’m baaaaack!

It has been over half a year since the last time I logged into Wordpress, let alone since the last time I posted anything. It wasn’t a conscious decision to stop writing, and whenever I thought about getting back into it I let the pressure of coming back with a bang get to me.

But, like anything else worth doing, if you wait until you’re ready, you’ll never start. So here I am.

I didn’t mean to go A.W.O.L. but I’ve been a little distracted lately and I’ve alway had such a hard time writing about anything else when there’s only one thing really dominating my thoughts (and this is especially true when I kind of have to keep that one thing a secret for a little while.)

But the time for needing to keep things on the down-low has passed and, seeing as people are already finding out “through the grapevine”, now is as good a time as any to come clean…

I am So DONE (With Student Loans)

Sunday, January 18th, 2015. I was holding my breath as I clicked the “confirm payment” button glowing on my screen. It was done. I had just finished paying off my student loan, four months out from my 30th birthday and over four years earlier than I was supposed to be finished.
